Handmade by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua, this beautiful and adorable figurine depicts a standing corn maiden with one corn child. The maiden showcases expressive eyes and an open mouth, her hair pulled into a bun on each side of her head. A child rests atop the maiden’s chest, both their bodies set with corn kernels and wrapped in husks. The child’s husk is painted grey while the maiden’s is more intricate with a red border and meticulously painted weather, step and geometric designs in black, brown, buff, grey and pink. 5 1/8″ tall x 1 1/2″ wide.
