Description
Handmade by prolific and well-known Santo Domingo potter Robert Tenorio, this negative design piece showcases a predominantly black painted backdrop cut through with reoccurring buff colored step patterns. The step patterns are mirrored on top and bottom of the piece, with several buff bands running circularly around the neck and body of the piece. The rim is painted entirely red, while the base follows suit. Robert is regarded as one of the pivotal potters in reviving the art of pottery making at Santo Domingo Pueblo. 6 1/2″ tall x 7″ wide.
