Created by hand by Jemez potter Diane Lucero, this large, seated storyteller features a woman and six children, along with an adorable dog. The woman sits with her knees bent and legs to one side, the dog resting upon the top leg, and a small basket just in front of it on the bottom leg. Five of the six children sit or stand within the woman’s lap, while the sixth rests upon one of her shoulders, One child holds a drum and another, a blanket, while a third holds his hands top his head. The woman appears with mouth open and rosy cheeks, a turquoise painted necklace along hern eck and beautiful purple accents along her clothing. 6 1/2″ tall x 4 1/2″ wide x 51/4″ deep.
