Description

Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin, known for the fineness of her painting and creativity in her figurines and other handmade pieces, created this wedding vase in her signature, detailed style.  The piece showcases a twisted handle painted red, giving way to step pattern cut out openings, the outlines of which are also painted red.  The body of the piece features white painted circles on each side, inside of which lovely flower and weather patterns are painted in black, red and buff.  Additional weather patterns painted in black and red border each circle, including clouds, rain and whirlwinds/waves.  7 3/4″ tall x 4 1/2″ wide.
