Description
A seated woman rests with two children on her lap, one on her arm and one flung over her shoulder in this traditional storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Joyce Lucero. All boys, two of the children hold objects, a drum and a basket, while the other two boys hold on to their mother. Each of the boys is painted in different colors, from blue and black to red, to buff and brown. The woman sits with with her legs bent to one side and is painted in white, black, red, brown, and accented in turquoise along her neck. 4 1/4″ tall x 4 3/4″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
