Description
Handmade by Jemez potter Scott Small in the style of his late mother, Mary, this gorgeous bear figurine features various hand painted patterns in grey and white atop a red backdrop and is finished with turquoise accents. The bear stands on all fours, facing forward with its head slightly tilted. Small turquoise pieces make up its eyes, while an additional, larger turquoise piece is set at the top center of its back. The bear’s face is painted in reoccurring triangles in grey and white, while its ears are predominantly grey with white stripes, and more white and grey triangle patterns run along its neck and chest. The remainder of the bear’s body also features various hand painted, reoccurring patterns, including triangle and half moon patterns representing clouds, fine lines representing rain, feather designs, flower patterns, and additional geometric designs including squares and circles in various formations. 6″ tall x 5″ wide x 9 1/2″ long.
