Description

Tear drop shaped bezels along both double sterling silver beaded strands and the traditional naja are inlaid with turquoise and sterling silver in this impressive, gorgeous squash blossom necklace and earring set by Zuni silversmith Faye Lowsayatee. Six of these bezels line each side of the piece’s double strands, each featuring two horizontally inlaid sterling silver slivers surrounded by inlaid sterling, and finished with a cluster of three applique sterling dots at each tip, which is attached to a traditional three pronged sterling blossom.  Eight more tear drops inlaid with sterling and turquoise comprise the piece’s naja, with a single tear drop hanging from a jump ring at the piece’s center.  Naja is finished with intricate sterling silverwork including sterling rope patterns and applique sterling dots.  The piece’s double strand turns into a single beaded strand about halfway up the necklace on each side, while the necklace’s matching earrings mimic the blossoms along the double beaded portion.  Necklace measures 27″ from end to end, not including naja length.  Naja measures 2 3/8″ long x 1 3/4″ wide. Total necklace length is 29 3/8″, and necklace is finished with a hook and eye clasp.  Earrings measure 2″ long including French hook x 1/2″ wide.
