Description
Carved from unique and rare ricolite, a stone only found in a remote area of New Mexico, this traditional fetish by Zuni artist Scott Garnett depicts a mountain lion. The entire body, including limbs and tail, of the mountain lion is etched with fine lines to add dimension, and its eyes are inlaid with turquoise. In many Native American cultures, the mountain lion is considered a resourceful leader. 3/4″ tall x 1″ wide x 2 5/8″ long.
