Description

A large turtle carved entirely of howlite and featuring turquoise accents comprises this traditional carved stone fetish by Zuni artist Scott Garnett.  The turtle is expertly carved along the body to showcase life-like scales and a shell, the shell dotted with turquoise pieces, as are the turtle’s eyes. In many Native American cultures, the turtle is a symbol of Mother Earth and longevity. 1 1/4″ tall x 2″ wide x 37/8″ long.
