Description

Carved by hand by Laguna/Isleta artist Irvin Jojola, this gorgeous kachina doll features a long hair winding its way around an elaborate Pueblo scene.  The Pueblo sits atop an oval wooden base, various stories attached by a curving stairwell and featuring multiple doors and windows.  The long hair starts at the base on one side of the Pueblo and winds around it, the hair swirling and painted black and white.  The kachina’s face is brown with black eyes,  three intricate feathers carved atop its head.  The long hair is said to be constantly singing and to be a bringer of rain.  8 3/4″ tall x 3″ wide x 2 1/2″ deep.
