Description

Handmade by Acoma potter Judy Lewis, this beautiful nativity scene comprises four pieces: a background/backdrop piece, a Joseph figurine, a Mary figurine, and a baby Jesus figurine in a manger.  The backdrop piece is half moon shaped and slightly curved, the border painted solid red, followed by a cut out star painted blue with black accents at the center, bordered on each side by reoccurring weather designs.  Both Mary and Joseph figurines are depicted kneeling, Mary on both knees and Joseph on one, Joseph holding a staff in one hand. Both figurines showcase garments along their heads, with Joseph painted in blue, brown and black and Mary in pink and black.  Baby Jesus lies in a manger, a smile painted on his face, his swaddle painted in black and red patterns and the manger finished with painted designs along the top border.  Backdrop piece measures 3 3/4″ tall x 5 3/4″ wide x 2″ deep.  Mary measures 2 1/8″ tall x 2″ wide x 1 1/4″ deep. Joseph measures 2 1/4″ tall x 2″ wide x 1 3/4″ deep.  Jesus measures 1 7/8″ long x 1 1/2″ wide x 3/4″ tall.
