Description
Created by Isleta artist Mona Teller, of the famous Teller family and one of very few existing potters at Isleta Pueblo, this lovely storyteller figurine features a seated woman and three children. The three children are clustered in the woman’s lap, each with their head tilted upward and mouth open. The woman’s, whose face mimics those of the children, sits with legs crossed and outstretched, two flowers held in the hand that is not wrapped around her kids. Each of the figures is painted in the recognizable palette out of Isleta and ascribed to the Tellers: predominantly white/off-white with red and brown accents. 3 7/8″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide x 3″ deep.
