Description
Expertly etched and finished with a mirror-like stone polish, this gorgeous wedding vase was handmade by Jemez potter Vangie Tafoya. The piece showcases a lovely twisted handle in buff, leading to two spouts which transition buff to red, all of which is polished to a high shine. Two micaceous terracotta bands run along the piece’s inflection and down the vase’s sides on both sides of the piece, while the remainder of the vase on front, back and sides is stunningly etched with various patterns. One one side, these patterns include flowers, a butterfly, and feather and weather patterns, on the opposite side, a hummingbird, additional, different flowers, and more feather and weather patterns and on each side, a single flower below step and triangular patterns, which often represent clouds. 8 1/4″ tall x 5 1/4″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
