Description
A seated woman rests with four children on her lap, one holding a chicken, and two on her head in this fun, traditional storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Vernida Toya. The woman rests with legs outstretched, one child at the center of her lap holding a basket, another to the left, holding a baby, and one more to the right holding a chicken. Two more children rest along the top of the woman’s head, and each of the children is painted with a white flower in her hair. All figures are painted with expressive eyes, and all mouths are open. 6″ tall x 4″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
