Description
A seated male figurine flanked by four children comprises the entirety of this beautiful, traditional storyteller by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua. The man sits with both legs outstretched, a blanket flung over one shoulder, while one child holding a drum rests in his arms, and three additional children rest upon his legs. One of the children on his legs holds a swaddled baby, while the other sits on the opposite leg, his hands lifted to his head. All figurines are painted in combinations of buff, red, black, and brown, and all figure’s mouths are open. 5″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide x 4″ deep.
