Description
Handmade by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua, this gorgeous figurine features a standing corn maiden with a child maiden along her body. The larger of the two maidens showcases wide, expressively painted eyes, rosy cheeks and an open mouth, while the child’s eyes and mouth mimic that of its mother. The maiden is encased in a red painted husk, the back of which features various traditional patterns painted in buff, grey, pink, red, and black, while the child is encased in a gray husk painted with black accents. Corn kernels finish the front of each figure’s body. 5 5/8″ tall x 2″ wide x 2″ wide.
