Two children rest on the lap of a seated woman in this gorgeous, small scale storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin. The woman rests with her legs outstretched, one crossed over the other, while two children sit on her lap, one holding a drum and one, a blanket. Both of the children smile widely, while the woman’s mouth is open, as if speaking. Each of the figurines is expertly painted in multiple designs in red, white. black, buff and grey, and the woman is finished with an intricate necklace painted in turquoise, red and white. 3″ tall x 2″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
