Description
A seated male rests with legs outstretched and crossed, two children sitting on his lap, in this wonderful, traditional storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin. The man’s eyes are black and expressive, his mouth open, while each of the children on his lap smile. One child, like the man, has a blanket flung over one shoulder, while the other child holds onto a drum. Each figurine is painted in combinations of red, black and white, while the man is finished with a painted turquoise necklace and bandana around his head. 3 5/8″ tall x 2 1/4″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
