Description
Santo Domingo potter Antoinette Cheppa impressively formed this large bowl by hand, then covered both inside and outside with various hand painted patterns atop its gorgeous buff backdrop. The bowl showcases a black painted rim, giving way on the outside to differing, reoccurring weather patterns in black and red, including clouds and fine lines, which represent rain. The inside of the piece is painted with reoccurring cloud and flower patterns along the walls, as well as additional cloud and rain designs painted in black atop the circular base, which is painted entirely red. 13 1/2″ diameter. 4 1/2″ tall.
