Description

Featuring a tri-color melon style half and an expertly etched half, this incredible small bowl was created by Jemez potter Vangie Tafoya.  Showcasing a polished rim that is only red along one half and three colors: buff, red and peach, along the other half, the bowl is etched with a stylized avanyu design along its red, single color portion and created in a melon style along the tri-color portion.  Additional traditional designs are etched below the avanyu, including water, lightning and steps, while a diagonal portion along the lower half below the avanyu showcases a gorgeous, deep brown, polished and etched with a floral design. 3 1/4″ tall x 4 1/2″ wide.
