Description

Hand carved by Navajo artist Victor Abeita, this fun kachina doll depicts a mouse.  The mouse stands on one leg, the opposite leg lifted and bent at the knee.  The legs, body, arms and face are painted grey, with the face featuring black and white accents at the eyes and red and black around and within the mouse’s open mouth.  The top of the mouse’s head is affixed with a pink feather and a turquoise stone is set at the base of the red and grey ears, while black feathers are attached to the back of its head.  White fur surrounds the neck and rests atop the shoulders and down the back, while tan felt surrounds the wrists, ankles and waist.  An off-white felt cloth surrounds the lower body, and the mouse holds a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other.  13 1/2″ tall x 6″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep.
