Description
A single, tear drop shaped piece of light blue Boulder turquoise containing large portions of tan matrix combines with sterling silver to create this impressive maiden pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The stone, set in a simple sterling silver bezel, is surrounded at the base by a thin sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling band stamped and cut out to form a reoccurring pattern, finished on each side at the top with a row of applique sterling dots. Protruding from the top of the body is an intricate sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, applique mouth. The forehead is stamped with fine lines, representing hair, while each side of the head is set with a sterling silver bun. Hook bail is located at the top of the back of the head. 2″ long x 1 1/4″ wide.
