Description
Handmade by the incomparable Torevia Crespin of Santo Domingo Pueblo, this impressive necklace showcases two strands of thick lapis beads finished with short double strands of orange spiny oyster heishi, finished at the center with a substantial oval pendant inlaid with multiple stones. The thick lapis beads vary light to deep blue in color and contain portions of pyrite, each piece polished to a high shine. The necklace’s incredible pendant showcases an inlaid mixture of lapis, orange and red spiny oyster shell, turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, jet, magenta, jasper and Mexican onyx. The opposite side of the pendant features only lapis, though the piece’s inlaid border is also visible on that side. Necklace measures 22″ from end to end, not including pendant length. Pendant measures 2 5/8″ long x 2″ wide. Pendant is not removable. Necklace is finished with a hook and eye closure, and can be adjusted to 19″.
