Description
Featuring twenty gorgeous blue-green turquoise stones along both naja and beaded strands of Navajo pearls, this stunning squash blossom necklace is accompanied by a matching pair of earrings and was handmade by Navajo silversmith Fannie Platero. Eight of the necklace’s twenty turquoise stones are set along the naja, each stone set in a scalloped sterling silver bezel and surrounded at the base by a row of applique sterling dots. Each stone is finished with a cluster of two sterling dots and one sterling star pattern, and all stones are set along base comprising thin, split sterling silver bands. Six turquoise pieces each are set along both sides of the necklace’s sterling silver beaded (Navajo pearl) strands, these turquoise stones also set in scalloped sterling silver bezels, surrounded by applique sterling dots and finished with the same clusters apparent along the naja, but also feature the recognizable three pronged sterling blossom. The necklace’s double strands merge into a single strand toward the top, where it is finished with a hook and eye closure. Matching earrings mimic the stones along the necklace’s naja. Necklace measures 24 1/2″ from end to end, not including naja length. Naja measures 3 1/4″ long x 3 1/4″ wide. Total necklace length including naja length is 27 3/4.” Earrings measure 1 7/8″ long including French hook x 3/4″ wide.
