Description

Turquoise, jet, coral and white mother of pearl combine with sterling silver in traditional inlay to form delicate thunderbirds in these beautiful earrings by Zuni silversmith Robert Martinez.  Each thunderbird is depicted with its head on a profile and wings outstretched, the head inlaid with jet and white mother of pearl, the beak with coral, and the feather atop their heads with turquoise.  Each body features coral, white mother of pearl and turquoise, while one wing is inlaid entirely with jet and the other, with turquoise.  Tail feathers are inlaid in white mother of pearl, while each wing is finished along its top curve with a sterling silver rope pattern.  3/4″ long x 5/8″ wide.
