Description
Showcasing her expertise in creating beautiful corn maidens, Acoma potter Judy Lewis depicts the recognizable symbol in this beautiful, delicate piece. The small maiden stands tall, her white corn cob body encased in white husk painted in myriad, polychrome patterns including a butterfly, a lizard, fine lines, triangles, and feathers. The maiden showcases a tableta atop her head, step cut outs along the top, with the front painted with a dragonfly and a flower, and the back, with bear paws. The delicate maiden is finished with a tiny ladybug atop one side of the tableta, with her black eyes expressive and cheeks rosy. 4 1/2″ tall x 1 3/8″ wide x 1″ deep.
