Description

Beautifully hand painted in various traditional patterns including two parrots, multiple rainbow bands, rain, clouds and feathers, this stunning jar was handmade by Acoma potter Beverly Garcia.  The piece begins with a corrugated rim, which gives way to a smooth white body painted in black and reddish orange.  The band just below the piece’s corrugated neck winds all the way around the jar and features fine line patterns, representing rain, within zigzag clouds, as well as reoccurring feather designs.  Below, sweeping rainbow bands encase two traditional parrot designs, the bands intermittently separated by additional fine line and feather patterns.  10 1/4″ tall x 9″ wide.
