Description

Eighteen stunning Mediterranean coral pieces dot both naja and beads of this impressive squash blossom necklace by Navajo silversmith Thomas Francisco, with two additional coral pieces set along the necklace’s matching earrings.  Eight coral pieces accent the necklace’s brushed sterling silver naja, with each stone set in a simple sterling silver bezel.  A single piece hangs from the center of the naja, while all but the hanging piece are separated by applique fan designs finished with applique sterling dots.  Hanging stone is surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling band stamped with scallop designs.  Ten coral pieces dot a double sterling silver beaded necklace, five on each side, which are all set in simple sterling silver bezels and surrounded at the base by sterling rope patterns.  These stones are finished with a sterling band stamped with scallop designs, and, attached to the bottom, a three pronged brushed sterling blossom.  Necklace merges into a single strand of brushed sterling beads approximately 3/4 of the way toward each end. Matching earrings mimic the stones set along the necklace’s beads, but do not include the sterling blossom.  Necklace measures 14 1/2″ from top to bottom for an approximate necklace length of 29″ from end to end.  Necklace is finished with a hook and eye closure.  Earrings measure 1 1/4″ long including French hook x 1/2″ wide.
