Description
Beautifully and expertly detailed, this amazing pin/pendant by Navajo silversmith Nelson Morgan depicts a traditional Eagle Dancer. A small turquoise nugget is set at the center f the piece in a sawtooth sterling silver bezel and containing portions of brown matrix, surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern. This, in turn, is almost entirely surrounded by a curved sterling band, followed by rows of sterling silver feathers finely stamped with diagonal lines. The head of the eagle is attached to the top of the piece on a jump ring so that it moves slightly and is made entirely of sterling silver. It features a protruding beak, cut out eyes, and feathers along the top. 2 1/8″ long x 1 1/4″ wide. Hook bail is set at the center of the back of the head while pin runs horizontally across the top of the body.
