Made predominantly of sterling silver, this impressive eagle dancer pin/pendant was handmade by Navajo silversmith Nelson Morgan. The body of the eagle dancer comprises a single turquoise stone set in a sawtooth sterling silver bezel, blue-green in color and containing portions of brown matrix running throughout. Sterling silver feathers wrap around the stone, each stamped intricately with fine lines, while a sterling silver, shadowbox head protrudes from the top. This features cut out rectangular eyes and a sterling silver beak, with feathers sticking up behind the head and laid atop it. Bail is located at the top of the back of the head while pin rests horizontally atop the back of the wings/body. 2 1/4″ long x 1 1/4″ wide.
