Description

Intricately and beautifully painted by  hand in several impossibly small and accurate patterns, this impressive vase was handmade by Mata Ortiz potter Trini Silveira.  The piece is painted in two different red tones, white and black, with the rim and a portion of the neck painted entirely black, giving way to wonderfully intricate patterns mostly consisting of tiny squares and fine lines.  Patterns are painted on diagonals, the white standing out beautifully against the red and black, the piece mesmerizing to look at. 7 3/4″ tall without ring x 5″ wide.  8″ tall with ring.
