Description
Handmade by Navajo silversmith Lenora Garcia, this lovely, traditional squash blossom necklace and earring set comprises turquoise and sterling silver. The necklace consists of a double strand of sterling silver Navajo pearls merging into a single strand, the doubled portion set with four squash blossoms on each side. These blossoms feature a round turquoise stone set in a sawtooth sterling silver bezel surrounded by a circular sterling band, and finished with a three pronged sterling blossom. The naja set at the center of the necklace showcases five additional turquoise stones in sawtooth sterling silver bezels, the form of the naja created by three curved, thin sterling bands. Matching earrings are made with one turquoise stone a piece, their form mimicking the top portion of each blossom along the necklace. Necklace cannot be laid flat for end to end measurement due to positioning of naja. It measures 9 3/4″ from top to bottom for an approximate end to end length of 20 1/2″ and is finished with a hook and eye closure. Naja measures 1 3/8″ long x 1 1/2″ wide. Earrings measure 1 1/8″ long including French hook x 3/8″ wide.
