Description

A man and woman sit shoulder to shoulder with four children between their laps in this fun family storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua.  Both parents sit with their legs outstretched, a little girl on her father’s lap, while two boys and a baby rest on the mother’s lap.  The little girl holds a basket, while a blanket is flung over one boy’s shoulder, and the other boy holds the swaddled baby. The mouths of each figure are open, all painted with wide, expressive eyes, the mother and the girl with their hair twisted and topped with painted flowers.  All figurines are painted in combinations of buff, red, grey, and black, and a shawl covers the shoulders and backs of the parents.  3 1/2″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 3″  deep.
