Description

Carved from marbled black and off-white pinolite, this fun, traditional fetish by Zuni artist Nelson Yatsittie depicts a bobcat.  The bobcat is carved hunched down on its front legs, its backside slightly lifted, as if ready to pounce.  Its short tail extends backwards, while its eyes are inlaid with turquoise. In many Native American cultures, the bobcat is considered clairvoyant, and is said to know secrets. 2″ tall x 1 1/8″ wide x 2 1/2″ long.
