Featuring a kiva step rim and small ladder, this beautiful handmade jar by Navajo potter Westly Begaye is entitled “Healing Hand.” The piece, showcasing a golden buff background, is painted predominantly in red and black with hints of turquoise in many traditional patterns. The front of the body, just below the opening, is painted with a single hand in each of the aforementioned colors, which also showcases fine line designs. The remainder of the piece showcases feather patterns surrounding the hand, as well as weather patterns including clouds and rain, as well as geometric designs along the back. 5 3/4″ tall including ladder x 4″ wide. 4 1/4″ tall without ladder.
