Made entirely of green-yellow serpentine, this impressive eagle fetish was created by Zuni carver Lance Deyuse. The eagle appears as if in flight, its wings outstretched and head etended forward, beak protruding outward from the face. The serpentine the piece is carved from varies yellow-green to grey in color, and the eagle is finished with turquoise inlaid eyes and a medicine bundle containing a pink mussel shell arrowhead, as well as turquoise, coral, and pink beads. In many Native American cultures, the eagle symbolizes the divine spirit, creation and freedom. 1/2″ tall x 1 1/4″ wide x 1 3/4″ long.
