Carved from lovely white and black howlite and featuring turquoise and shell additions, this incredible bear fetish was created by Zuni artist Hudson Sandy. Hudson, known for his supreme attention to detail, carved this bear standing, draped in what appears to be a cloak and featuring lovely accents, such as shell feathers atop the head and protruding from the cloak, as well as a turquoise and coral necklace and turquoise eyes. A lightning like arrow is carved along the bear’s back, and it stands atop a howlite base. In many Native American cultures, the bear symbolizes courage, physical strength, and leadership. 3 /8″ tall x 1 1/2″ wide x 1 1/4″ deep.
