Turquoise, jet, coral, and white mother of pearl combine with slivers of sterling silver to form the body of this beautiful, traditional maiden ring by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The majority of the piece comprises sterling silver, while each of the aforementioned stones are inlaid in geometric patterns separated by slivers of sterling silver to make up the body. A sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth, protrudes from the top of the body of the piece. The head is bordered on each side by a sterling silver bun, stamped with fine lines representing hair. The forehead of the piece is also stamped with fine lines, and stone and silverwork are set atop a split shank that merges halfway toward the back. 1 1/2″ long x 3/4″ wide. Fits ring size 7 1/2.
