Description
A mother of pearl dragonfly piggbacks atop a jasper frog in this carved stone water fertiity fetish by Zuni carver Daisy (Natewa) Leonard. The dragonfly is attached to the frog with a clam shell and turquoise heishi medicine bundle strung on sinew, while the frog varies in color from reddish-brown to black. In many Native American cultures, the frog is considered the bringer of rain, fertility, abundance, while the dragonfly represents happiness, speed and purity. 3/4″ tall x 1 1/8″ wide x 2″ long.
