Description
Zuni birds, kiva steps, clouds, rain, and lightning patterns are all hand painted along a large, handmade jar in this impressive piece by Zuni potter Carlos Laate. The rim of the jar is painted solid black, while jus below, a row of Zuni birds appear in black and red. The remainder of the jar showcases several patterns also painted in black and red, including fine lines, representing rain, half moon cloud patterns, kiva steps, additional birds, and lightning. 11 1/4″ tall x 10″ wide. Signature on the bottom of the jar indicates that it was crafted in 2001.
