Description

Depicting an Early Morning Singer, this small Navajo kachina doll features feather, felt and fur accents.  The morning singer stands atop a round wooden base, its body painted mostly red with some blue and white accents.  White fur tops the kachina’s head and surrounds the neck, while its face is painted turquoise with yellow, red, turquoise and white cloud patterns painted on the cheeks.  The kachina holds a single feather in one hand and its lower half is covered in various colors of felt.  The morning singer appears on rooftops and sings to waken the village. 7 1/2″ tall x 5 2/8″ wide x 2 3/4″ deep.
