Featuring a red polished base, this lovely, larger vase by Jemez potter Juanita Fragua, now in her late 80s, showcases hand painted weather and corn stalk patterns along both the neck and just below the inflection. The neck of the vase is painted with reoccurring sun, step, cloud, and rain designs, while below, reoccurring corn stalk patterns are separated by additional weather patterns. Juanita creates and paints each of her pieces by hand, and all patterns on this piece are painted in buff, red, black, and grey. 9 1/8″ tall x 8″ wide.
