Jemez potter Emily Fragua Tsosie, known for her storytellers and figurines, created this impressive owl by hand, showcasing several layers of clay and hand painted designs. The piece features a standing owl, its feathers created with layered pieces of clay painted in brown, black, grey, and white patterns. The owl’s wings are painted entirely black and white with geometric designs, and Emily expertly tied the wings in to the rest of the body with matching eyes. 6 1/2″ tall x 4 1/2″ wide x 4″ deep.
