Description

Painted with the recognizable, hunch backed kokopelli, albeit, this one without a flute, this delicate canteen comes from Acoma Pueblo.  The hunch backed man is painted in various beautiful colors, including green, red, peach, brown, and black, and features a sheath of arrows along his back.  He holds onto a curved cane and appears to be dancing toward a green corn stalk, zig zag and fine lines below his feet.  A thin piece of white leather is attached to each of the canteen’s peach colored handles, and the opening is painted the same color. Back side of the canteen features a beautiful, colorful flower design surrounded by fine lines. 4 1/2″ long including leather length.  2 1/4″ long without leather. 2 7/8″ wide. 1 1/4″ tall.
