Description
Handmade by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua, this lovely, traditional storyteller figurine features a seated woman and three children. The woman rests with her legs outstretched, all three children sitting along the hem of the black skirt surrounding her bottom half. The woman holds a piece of pottery, while each child also holds something; a blanket, an ear of corn, and a drum, from left to right. The little girl in the center is painted in a blush colored dress with black and grey flowers, her hair up and twisted off to one side, while each little boy flanking her is painted in variations of brown, grey, black and red. The woman’s clothing features all of these colors as well, mostly along the shawl draped over her head. 5 5/8″ tall x 4″ wide x 5″ deep.
