Description
A large, seated male figurine is surrounded by five children in this traditional storyteller by Jemez potter Antoinette Concho. The man sits with both legs outstretched, his head tilted up toward the sky and mouth open. One child sits on each leg while another stands on the center of his lap, with the man holding one more child in each arm. All children also feature open mouths, with one child on one leg holding a slice of watermelon and the other on the opposite leg holding a drum. All figures are painted predominantly in white with brown accents. 6 1/2″ tall x 5 1/4″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
