Description
Handmade by Isleta potter Chris Teller, daughter of well-known Isleta storyteller maker Stella Teller, this gorgeous storyteller figurine showcases a seated woman and five children. The woman rests with her legs crossed, four of the five children in her lap and one being held in one arm, while her opposite arm cradles the head of one of her children. The woman’s eyes are closed, her mouth open, and hair pulled up into a bun on each side of her head. A white shawl is draped over the woman’s shoulders, stone polished and painted in red and black corn stalk patterns. Each of the children also features red and black accents, and all of their eyes are closed and mouths are open, mimicking their mother. 5″ tall x 3 1/4″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
