Depicting an owl, this small Navajo kachina doll features feather, fur and leather accents along with various painted designs. The owl features bright yellow eyes with black accents, its ears also painted with black patterns. Its head is topped with white fur, which also surrounds its neck, while a feather is held in one hand and another placed behind the head. Blue leather is strapped across the owl’s chest, while red leather is wrapped around the waist, followed by white leather painted in red, turquoise and black geometric patterns. The owl kachina is said to be beneficial to agriculture because of his destruction of rodents, while he symbolizes intelligence and wisdom. 8 1/4″ tall x 3 1/8″ wide x 2 1/2″ deep.
