Description
Handmade by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration in his signature style, this impressive, large pendant features a maiden with a turquoise body and intricate sterling silver head. The body comprises a large, tear drop shaped turquoise piece, varying medium to deep blue in color and containing large portions of black and brown matrix running throughout. The stone is set in a simple sterling silver bezel and surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a scallop edged sterling band stamped with scallop patterns and finished at the top on each side with a row of applique sterling dots. Protruding from the top of the stone is an intricate sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with deeply grooved eyes and a round, applique mouth. The forehead is stamped with horizontal fine lines, and the head is finished with a stwerling horn on each side, as well as a feather at the top. 2 3/4″ long x 1 1/2″ wide. Hook bail is located at the back of the head.
