A stunning display of artistry, this gorgeous storyteller by deceased Jemez potter Kenneth Sando showcases a seated woman with seven children. The storyteller features incredible details, including a pottery plate atop the woman’s head, a handmade canteen in her lap, a drum on one side and a block on the other. One child climbs atop the woman’s head, while two more children rest upon her shoulders. Two additional children are sprawled out along her arms, and two more lay along her legs. The canteen is painted with a beautiful butterfly and flowers, while the plate atop her head features traditional geometric patterns. The woman rests with expressive, speckled eyes looking upward, an open mouth, and long hair falling along her back. 7 1/4″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
